Milk: You can use whatever kind of milk you like. Since I am lactose-intolerant, I prefer to be dairy-free and use almond milk. I have made these muffins with water which did not taste as rich and fluffy as using milk.
Chocolate chips: I like to use dark chocolate chips for this recipe, but you can use whatever kind you have on hand. You can also half the amount if you want a little less sugar or substitute with berries in this recipe as well.
Greek yogurt: Greek yogurt adds extra protein and makes these muffins extra moist! The Greek yogurt is a good substitute for melted butter and contains less fat. The reason I like to lower the fat content in these muffins is because I like to add some nut butter, like peanut butter, on top after they are baked.
Eggs: Eggs help bind the ingredients together and also adds some protein to this easy muffin recipe.
Vanilla extract: This is a baking staple and adds flavor to the muffins.
How to make these kodiak protein muffins, step-by-step
Step 1: Preparing the recipe
Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Spray the muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Prepare all of the ingredients you want to use.
Next, place muffin paper into muffin or use silicone muffin tins in the slots of your muffin tray.
